Usage, Replacement & Tips Delivery & Refund

Usage Recommendations

The product's usage period typically ranges between 8-12 months. The lifespan of the replacement HEPA filter depends on:

  • The level of external air pollution,
  • The level of indoor air pollution,
  • The sources of pollution within the indoor space,
  • The number of hours it is used daily,
  • The operating speed,
  • Whether the pre-filter is cleaned frequently or not.

These factors can either extend or shorten the lifespan of the filter.

Due to these various factors, it is impossible to determine an ideal replacement period for all users. For example, in environments where heavy smoking occurs, the replacement filter may reach saturation in a shorter time. Similarly, the lifespan can vary between homes with pets and those without or depending on whether the device is operated continuously or intermittently.

As the PURMED technical team, we recommend replacing the replacement HEPA filter ideally between 8-12 months. However, it should be noted that due to factors like dust, allergens, smoke, and similar effects, this period may be shorter or longer than recommended.

Tips and Warnings

As you continue using your device, you can calculate the optimal usage duration based on your specific conditions. The general signs indicating the need to replace the replacement HEPA filter are as follows:

  • The spread of an undefined unpleasant odor in the environment,
  • A drop in the device's suction power or strain in operation,
  • An increase in electricity consumption,
  • Accumulation of dust and pollutants in the environment,
  • Visible particle buildup on the filter's surface.

The replacement HEPA filter traps pollutants and cannot be reused after its lifespan has ended. Failing to replace it can reduce filtration efficiency, potentially damage the device, and shorten its lifespan.

Once it reaches saturation, the True HEPA paper cannot effectively capture dust and other allergens. Do not attempt to clean and reuse the replacement filter by vacuuming it. Vacuuming can damage the sensitive and specialized structure of the product, significantly reducing its filtration performance and safety. Replacement Filter Change

Since not all devices are designed the same way, the steps for changing the filter may vary. However, replacement filter changes for home air purifiers are designed to be extremely easy and practical.

Before performing the replacement, make sure to protect yourself by using precautions such as gloves and masks. This is because the replacement HEPA filter traps harmful particles like bacteria, viruses, mold spores, etc., during its usage period. Be careful not to inhale harmful particles while replacing the filter.

Before replacing the filter, disconnect the device from its power source and ensure the device is completely turned off.
